Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless pork shoulder
- 14 wooden skewers
- seasoning salt
- 4 large eggs
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 cups italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil for frying (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and soak the wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes.
- Thread the pork cubes onto 14 skewers and season them with seasoning salt.
- Whisk the eggs and milk in a shallow bowl, then place the bread crumbs in a second shallow bowl.
- Dip each pork skewer in the egg mixture, coat it with bread crumbs, and arrange the skewers in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the chicken broth around the skewers, cover the dish with foil, and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for 15 minutes more, until the pork reaches 145 F and the coating is browned.
- Rest the skewers for 5 minutes before serving.
