Beef Meatloaf

Ground beef, onion, milk, breadcrumbs, and egg bake together under a sweet mustard ketchup glaze until fully cooked.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1/3 cup ketchup

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and lightly oil a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Chop the onion and mix it with the beef, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Press the mixture into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  4. Stir the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup together, then spread the mixture over the loaf.
  5. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until the center reaches 160 F.
  6. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
