Ingredients
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 3/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 5 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and place a 9-inch round pan inside a larger roasting pan.
- Boil sugar and water in the round pan for 6 minutes, without stirring, until golden caramel forms.
- Blend condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream, vanilla, eggs, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard over the caramel and add hot water to the roasting pan halfway up the round pan.
- Bake for 55 minutes, until the custard is firm and the center reaches 160 F.
- Cool the flan for 1 hour, then chill it for 6 hours.
- Run a knife around the edge and invert the flan onto a plate.
