Ingredients
- 1 loaf baguette
- 3 peaches
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce homemade or store bought
- 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking oil.
- Cut the baguette and peaches into bite-size pieces, then place them in the baking dish with the raw almonds.
- Whisk the milk, cream, sugar, salt, and eggs in a large bowl.
- Pour the custard over the bread mixture and let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the top and bake for 50 to 55 minutes, until the center reaches 160 F and is set.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the warm pudding.
