Ingredients

2 lb asparagus
4 tbsp unsalted butter
2 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups half and half
2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

Steps

Heat the oven to 400 F and trim the asparagus.
Boil the asparagus in salted water for 4 minutes, then drain it.
Melt the butter in a saucepan, whisk in the flour, and cook for 1 minute.
