Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup / 60g brown sugar
- salt and pepper
- crumbled goats cheese or feta
- fresh parsley or thyme
Steps
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chops for 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chops to a plate and cook the onion in the skillet for 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return the chops and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until they reach 145 F.
- Top the chops with crumbled cheese and parsley or thyme.
