Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Steps

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the chops for 3 minutes per side, then transfer them to a plate.
  3. Cook the sliced onion in the skillet for 5 minutes, then add the garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then simmer for 3 minutes until smooth.
  6. Return the chops to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until the centers reach 145 F.
