- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup fat-free milk
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and grease a 9-inch square baking dish with butter.
- Whisk the first sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and water in a saucepan, then stir in the berries.
- Cook the berry mixture over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring until thickened, and pour it into the dish.
- Mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in the butter, stir in the milk and vanilla, and drop the batter over the berries.
- Bake for 25 minutes, until the topping is browned and the filling bubbles.
