Ingredients
- 3 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- Stir the brown sugar and ketchup together in a small bowl.
- Mix the beef, milk, eggs, onion, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, and ginger in a large bowl.
- Press the meat mixture into a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan and spread the ketchup mixture over it.
- Bake for 60 minutes, until the center reaches 160°F.
- Rest the meatloaf for 5 minutes before slicing.
