- 1 tbsp mild paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 3/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 5/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp cracked pepper (optional)
- 23 oz steak
- 1 1/2 tbsp canola oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic
Steps
- Mix the paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, thyme, oregano, brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper.
- Cut the steak into bite-size pieces and toss them with the spice mixture.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the canola oil.
- Sear the steak pieces for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until they reach 145 F.
- Add the butter and garlic, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring until the garlic softens.
