- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup finely chopped hershey's candy cane kisses
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 tbsp milk
- red food coloring

Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch pan.
- Beat 1 cup butter with sugar, egg, and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold in the chopped candy cane chocolate kisses, press the dough into the pan, and bake for 22 minutes.
- Cool the bars in the pan for 8 minutes.
- Beat the remaining butter and cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over the warm bars and cool for 5 more minutes before cutting.
