Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- vegetable oil for frying (optional)
Steps
- Soak the chicken tenderloins in buttermilk in a covered bowl for 60 minutes.
- Mix the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow bowl.
- Beat the eggs in a second bowl and place the panko in a third bowl.
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, egg, and panko, then rest the breaded pieces for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet to 350 F.
- Fry the chicken in batches for 3 to 4 minutes per side, then check that each piece reaches 165 F.
