Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 star anise pods
- 2 large grapefruit
Steps
- Stir the sugar and water in a bowl until the sugar mostly dissolves.
- Add the star anise pods and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes.
- Peel the grapefruit, remove the pith, and separate the fruit into sections.
- Pour the anise mixture over the grapefruit and toss gently.
- Chill the salad for 5 minutes before serving.
