Ingredients
- 2 italian sausage links
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 small green pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 2 brat buns
- 2 tbsp shredded italian cheese blend
Steps
- Place the sausages and water in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cover and simmer the sausages for 10 minutes, turning once.
- Add the oil, sliced pepper, and sliced onion, then cook uncovered for 6 minutes.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and dried basil, then simmer for 6 minutes.
- Cook until the sausages reach 165 F internally.
- Fill the buns with the sausages and sauce, then top with the cheese.
