Ingredients

  • 7/8 cups king arthur white whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin spice
  • cooking spray

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and spray two baking sheets with cooking spray.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter, one cup sugar, honey, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl.
  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Mix three tablespoons sugar with pumpkin spice, then roll the dough into 24 balls and coat them.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then cool the cookies on the baking sheets.
