Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups old fashioned oats
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 containers (4 oz) unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 to large apple
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and lightly oil an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Chop the apple into small pieces.
- Stir the oats, flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix in the milk, yogurt, maple syrup, applesauce, eggs, vanilla, and chopped apple.
- Spread the mixture in the baking dish and bake for 35 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Cool the oatmeal for 5 minutes before cutting.
