Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh raw shrimp
- 8 oz fresh pineapple
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp oil or butter (optional)
- 1/4 ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- 1 tbsp green onion (optional)
Steps
- Heat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Thread the shrimp, pineapple, and bell pepper onto skewers, then season with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in the barbecue sauce and cayenne.
- Grill the skewers for 3 to 4 minutes per side, brushing them with sauce, until the shrimp reach 145 F and turn opaque.
- Brush the cooked skewers with the remaining sauce and sprinkle them with green onion.
