1 package (16 oz) frozen pitted tart cherries
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp lemon juice

1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups reduced-fat whipped topping

Steps

Thaw the cherries in a bowl for 15 minutes, then stir in 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
