- 1 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans
Steps
- Heat the oven to 325 F and grease a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
- Beat one cup butter and sugar until creamy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, sour cream, and bourbon until smooth.
- Fold in one and one-half cups pecans, spread the batter in the pan, and bake for 65 minutes.
- Melt one-quarter cup butter with brown sugar and milk in a saucepan, then stir in vanilla and powdered sugar.
- Cool the cake for 15 minutes, remove it from the pan, and drizzle it with glaze and remaining pecans.
