- 2 large carrots
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-inch square baking pan with butter.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat 1/2 cup butter with the granulated sugar, then beat in the eggs and shredded carrots.
- Stir the dry mixture into the carrot mixture, spread the batter in the pan, and smooth the top.
- Mix the remaining butter with the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble over the batter and bake for 32 to 38 minutes, until the center is firm.
