Ingredients

1 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup olive oil
1 shallot
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 cloves garlic
2 springs fresh oregano
1 tsp grated lemon zest
1 tsp red chile pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp coarsely ground pepper

Steps

Finely chop the parsley, cilantro, shallot, garlic, and oregano leaves.
Stir the chopped herbs and vegetables with olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red chile pepper.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
Let the chimichurri rest at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
