Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and melt the butter in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Cut the cinnamon rolls into pieces and arrange them over the melted butter.
- Whisk the eggs, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and maple syrup in a bowl.
- Pour the egg mixture over the rolls and sprinkle the pecans on top.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until puffed, set in the center, and the eggs reach 160 F.
- Drizzle the reserved icing over the warm casserole.
