- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 yellow onion
- 1 1/2 lb 90/10 ground beef
- 8 oz mild italian sausage
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.
- Mix the onion, beef, sausage, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, salt, Italian seasoning, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in a greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
- Spread the ketchup mixture over the top.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, until the center reaches 160 F.
- Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
