Ingredients
- 100 g butter
- 100 g caster sugar
- 2 egg
- 140 g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk
- 100 g plain chocolate
- 25 g butter
- 100 g icing sugar
- 100 g desiccated coconut
Steps
- Beat 100 g butter and caster sugar until pale, then beat in the eggs.
- Stir in self-raising flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the batter in a greased 8-inch square pan and bake at 350 F for 20 minutes.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Melt the plain chocolate with 25 g butter, then stir in icing sugar until smooth.
- Spread the icing over the cake and sprinkle with desiccated coconut before cutting.
