Ingredients
- 6 eggs at room temperature
- 5 cumberland sausages
- 2 rashers smoked streaky bacon finely chopped or minced
- 1 L sunflower oil for frying (optional)
- 2 eggs beaten
- 100 g plain flour
- 2 tsp english mustard powder
- 50 g packet of salt and vinegar crisps crushed
- 100 g panko breadcrumbs
Steps
- Place the six eggs in a saucepan, cover them with water, and boil for 10 minutes until firm.
- Cool the eggs in cold water, peel them, and pat them dry.
- Mix the sausages and bacon in a bowl, then divide the mixture into six portions.
- Flatten each portion, wrap it around an egg, and seal the sausage completely.
- Mix the flour with the mustard powder in one bowl, place the beaten eggs in another, and combine the crushed crisps with panko in a third.
- Coat each wrapped egg in flour, beaten egg, and crumbs.
- Heat sunflower oil in a deep pan to 350 F and fry the eggs for 6 to 8 minutes, turning them, until browned and the sausage reaches 165 F.
