1 loaf french bread
1/2 lb firm tofu
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp tamari or 1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tsp ground fennel or 1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp crushed garlic
1/5 tsp cayenne pepper

Steps

Heat the oven to 425 F and line a baking sheet with the French bread halves.
