Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup yellow onion
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup low-sugar bbq sauce
Steps
- Heat a grill to medium heat, about 400 F.
- Mix the beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, pepper, and salt.
- Shape the mixture into 18 equal meatballs.
- Oil the grill grates and grill the meatballs for 12 to 15 minutes, turning often.
- Check that the centers reach 160 F.
- Warm the barbecue sauce in a small saucepan for 5 minutes, then toss it with the meatballs.
