Ingredients

180 g butter very soft
6 eggs separated
300 g granulated sugar
250 ml milk or cream
2 tbsp vanilla sugar
450 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp cocoa powder
icing sugar to dust

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with oil.
Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy, then beat in the egg yolks.
Mix in the milk, flour, and baking powder until smooth.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold them into the batter.
Stir the cocoa powder into one-third of the batter, layer both batters in the pan, and swirl them gently.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, and dust it with icing sugar.
