Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 lb baby back pork ribs
  • 3/4 cup frank’s buffalo wings sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp each chili powder
  • 1 tsp each ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme

Steps

  1. Mix the paprika, chili powder, cumin, thyme, and 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, then rub the mixture over the ribs.
  2. Place the ribs in a 6-quart slow cooker and pour in the buffalo sauce, honey, apricot preserves, soy sauce, mustard, and remaining brown sugar.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, until the pork reaches at least 145 F and pulls away from the bones.
  4. Heat the broiler and transfer the ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet.
  5. Whisk the cornstarch with water, stir it into the slow cooker sauce, and simmer the sauce in a saucepan for 5 minutes.
  6. Brush the ribs with the thickened sauce and broil 5 minutes, watching closely until the glaze bubbles and browns.
