Ingredients
- 6 corn tostadas
- 1 cup refried beans
- 2 cups cooked and shredded skirt steak or your favorite meat
- 3 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- 1 size tomato
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1 avocado diced or sliced
- 1/2 cup mexican cream or creme fraiche
- 1 good salsa of your choice
- 1 lb skirt steak
- 1/4 pc white onions
- 1 pc bay leaf
- 2 clove garlic
Steps
- Simmer the skirt steak, white onion, garlic, and bay leaf in a covered pot with water for 20 minutes, until the beef reaches 145 F.
- Shred the beef and discard the bay leaf, onion, and garlic.
- Warm the refried beans in a small saucepan over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
- Spread the beans over the tostadas, then add the shredded beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, and queso fresco.
- Top each tostada with avocado, Mexican cream, and salsa.
