- 1 lb thinly sliced beef
- 1/2 cup sweet rice flour
- oil for pan-frying (optional)
- 2 scallions
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice wine
- 2 tsp water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp hot mustard
- 1 tsp hot water
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
Steps
- Mix 1 tablespoon soy sauce, rice wine, 2 teaspoons water, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Coat the beef with the seasoning and marinate for 20 minutes.
- Whisk the hot mustard, hot water, remaining soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
- Dredge each beef slice in sweet rice flour.
- Pan-fry the slices in a lightly oiled 12-inch skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until browned and 145 F inside.
- Scatter the scallions over the cooked beef and serve with the mustard sauce.
