- 8 oz pasta
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp red onion
- 1 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 cups fresh tomatoes
- 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
- salt (optional)
- freshly ground black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (optional)
- crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Steps
- Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package directions, then drain it.
- Chop the tomatoes, red onion, garlic, and basil.
- Mix the tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl.
- Toss the warm pasta with the tomato mixture.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and serve warm.
