Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/2 cup golden corn syrup
- 1 cup butterscotch baking chips
- 4 cups rice crispy cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch baking chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Steps
- Grease a 9-inch square pan with the cooking oil.
- Heat the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring until smooth.
- Remove the pan from the heat, stir in 1 cup of butterscotch chips, and fold in the cereal.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
- Melt the chocolate chips, remaining butterscotch chips, and coconut oil together over low heat for 2 minutes.
- Spread the topping over the bars and chill for 5 minutes before cutting.
