Ingredients
- 300 g plain flour
- 75 g butter
- 100 g cream cheese
- 1 tbls icing sugar
- 150 g butter
- 200 ml maple syrup
- 250 g light brown soft sugar
- 100 g dark brown soft sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 400 g pecan nuts
- 200 g dark chocolate chips
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-inch pie pan with cooking oil.
- Mix the flour, 75 grams butter, cream cheese, and icing sugar into a dough.
- Press the dough into the pie pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Melt the remaining butter, then whisk it with the maple syrup, brown sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
- Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips, then pour the filling into the warm crust.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the center is set and the crust is golden.
- Cool the pie for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
