Ingredients
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6 cups frozen corn
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 tbsp fine cornmeal
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Melt the remaining butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Whisk the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- Whisk in the eggs, cream, vanilla, melted butter, frozen corn, and creamed corn.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle the cornmeal evenly over it.
- Bake for 35 minutes, until the center is set and the eggs are fully firm.
