Ingredients
- 10 oz thick-cut bacon
- 1/3 cup diced yellow onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 6 oz gruyere cheese
- 1 1/2 cups chopped broccoli florets
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 7 minutes, drain it, then cook the onion for 3 minutes.
- Boil the broccoli in a small pot of water for 3 minutes, drain it, and pat it dry.
- Whisk the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then stir in the bacon, onion, broccoli, and Gruyère.
- Pour the mixture into the pie dish and bake at 350 F for 40 minutes, until firm and cooked through.
- Rest the quiche for 10 minutes before cutting.
