Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp water

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets.
  2. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla, eggs, and water until combined.
  4. Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until set.
  6. Cool the cookies on the sheets for 5 minutes before moving them.
