- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 small onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 extra large egg
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp fennel seed
- 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 1/4 oz cheese
- 2 cups unsalted chicken stock
- 1 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 2/3 cup tomato paste
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Steps
- Chop the bacon, onion, and garlic, then mix them with the beef, egg, oregano, fennel, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, panko, and milk.
- Shape the mixture into 16 meatballs.
- Add the stock, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, and oregano to the Instant Pot.
- Set the meatballs into the sauce in a single layer.
- Cook at high pressure for 8 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cheese and check that the meatballs reach 160 F before serving.
