Ingredients

  • 8 oz Dried beans and lentils (brown lentils)
  • 8 Buns and rolls
  • 14 oz Canned tomatoes
  • 0.5 lb Onions
  • 0.5 lb Bell peppers
  • 16 oz Broth or stock

Steps

  1. Simmer rinsed lentils in broth for 25 minutes until tender.
  2. Soften chopped onion and pepper in a pan.
  3. Add the lentils, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard and vinegar and simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Spoon onto toasted buns.
