- 3 tbsp cornmeal (optional)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp light clover or wildflower honey
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds or everything spice (optional)

Steps
- Mix the flour, yeast, salt, water, honey, and oil into a dough, then knead it for 8 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into six pieces, shape each into a ring, and place them on a cornmeal-dusted baking sheet.
- Heat 3 quarts of water with the remaining honey in a wide pot until boiling.
- Boil the bagels for 30 seconds per side, then return them to the baking sheet.
- Heat the oven to 425 F, add sesame seeds or everything spice, and bake for 15 minutes.
