Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/8 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
- 1 round brie cheese
- 1 large egg
Steps
- Thaw the puff pastry according to its package directions and heat the oven to 400 F.
- Melt the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the mushrooms, onion, and garlic for 8 minutes, then stir in the thyme, rosemary, seasoned salt, and pepper.
- Roll the pastry into a 12-inch square, place the brie and mushroom mixture in the center, and fold the pastry over the cheese.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg, place it on a baking sheet, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
- Rest the wrapped brie for 10 minutes before cutting.
