Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 5 tsp fine sea salt or table salt
- 8 cups cold water
- 3 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 pinch salt
- optional - 1 tablespoon regular soy sauce
- half lemon
Steps
- Add the water, oregano, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, and salt to the pressure cooker.
- Place the whole chicken in the cooker and secure the lid.
- Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes.
- Check the thickest part of the chicken for 165 F and cook longer if needed.
- Melt the butter with the garlic and lemon juice in a small pan for 3 minutes.
- Brush the cooked chicken with the garlic butter before cutting it.
