Ingredients
- 2 whole ribeye steaks
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- to taste kosher salt and ground black pepper (optional)
- 7 sprigs fresh thyme
- 7 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Steps
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 2 minutes per side.
- Place the steaks in a slow cooker with the thyme, garlic, and butter.
- Cook on high for 18 minutes, until the thickest part reaches 145 F.
- Rest the steaks for 5 minutes before slicing.
