Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh small broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbled
- 1 cup milk
- fresh ground black pepper (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups ritz butter cracker crumbs
- 6 tbsp butter
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F.
- Boil the broccoli in a large pot of salted water for 3 minutes, then drain it.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan, cook the garlic for 30 seconds, whisk in the flour, then slowly add the milk.
- Stir in the cream cheese, blue cheese, and pepper until smooth, then fold in the broccoli.
- Spread the mixture in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Melt the remaining 6 tablespoons butter, mix it with the cracker crumbs, sprinkle them over the broccoli, and bake for 20 minutes.
