- 1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 5 large eggs
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1 cans (15 oz) 15 ounce can whole kernel corn
- 2 cans (15 oz) cream-style corn
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and butter a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk the milk, cream, cornstarch, sugar, nutmeg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Whisk in the eggs, then stir in the melted butter and both kinds of corn.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 40 minutes, until the center is firm and the eggs reach 160 F.
