Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- heaping 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 oz milk chocolate
- 3 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with parchment.
- Melt the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and almonds, then drop small spoonfuls onto the baking sheets with plenty of space.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cookies are golden and bubbling.
- Cool the cookies on the sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a rack.
- Melt both chocolates together and spread the mixture over the flat sides of the cooled cookies.
