Ingredients
- 3 chicken breasts
- salt and black pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- fresh chives (optional)
Steps
- Slice the chicken breasts horizontally into thin cutlets and season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the cutlets in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 4 minutes per side, until it reaches 165°F.
- Melt the remaining butter in the skillet and cook the garlic for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the vinegar, soy sauce, and honey, then simmer for 2 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and turn it in the glaze for 1 minute.
