Ingredients
- 3/4 cup natural creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp virgin coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- optional: 1/2 cup vital proteins collagen peptides
- 2 3/4 cups crispy brown rice cereal
- 3 1/2 oz 85% dark chocolate bar
- fancy sea salt (optional)
Steps
- Warm the peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat for 3 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla, salt, and collagen peptides if using.
- Fold the cereal into the warm mixture until evenly coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into a parchment-lined 8-inch square pan.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the treats, chill for 20 minutes, and cut into squares.
