Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground italian sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 packages (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 24 white button mushrooms
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
Steps
- Heat the oven to 400 F and arrange the mushroom caps in a baking dish.
- Cook the sausage and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the sausage reaches 160 F, about 8 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then remove the skillet from the heat.
- Mix in the cream cheese, pizza sauce, oregano, and pepperoni until combined.
- Fill the mushroom caps with the sausage mixture and top them with Parmesan and mozzarella.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese is melted.
