- 1 package (8 oz) breakfast sausage links
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/5 tsp ground nutmeg
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and cook the sausage links in a skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Slice the cooked sausage into small pieces and drain any excess fat.
- Bake the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish for 10 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs, heavy cream, and nutmeg in a bowl, then stir in the sausage and cheddar.
- Pour the mixture into the warm crust and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the center is firm and the eggs are fully cooked.
- Cook sausage until it reaches 160 F inside.
- Rest the quiche for 10 minutes before cutting.
